Methodist .Sources of informatiom are Marjorie Nichols Pedigree charts and Elsie Brownings pedigree chart.1850 Oregon census shows her birth 1798. Jared, her husband, said that she could not read or write. I now have in my files a poem written by her in about 1880 ???? She was of Scottish descent and had a heavy accent. She was red headed. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Her mother was a Laird before marrying a Kelso I have no proof.
