She was not buried till a year after death. Interred in East Lawn Burial Park Space 3 Lot 124 Block C section 3 in Columbus, Ohio. They waited to bury until her son, Shirley Coon, came from Washington State. ----------------------------------------------------------------- She died 18 Nov, 1935 and was buried 15 April, 1936. _________________________________________________________ Her granddaughter, Ann Schafer, says that she was very dominating and when her father, Shirley, married her mother, Selma, she wanted to dominate. Shirley got a job in Columbus, Ohio, and then W. C. Coon and Nellie moved to Columbus. Selma had enough so when Shirley got a job offer at Missoula, Montana, she insisted that they take the job and go to Montana. From then we can tell by the correspondence that Nellie Jones asked for financial help ect. all the time. ----------------------------------------------------------------- OBITUARY - Mrs Nellie Jones, widow of the late W.C.Coon, Monday morning. Survived by daughter, Mrs Orin B. Gustin, 4633 Summit Street with whom she made her home... One son, Dr. S.J. Coon at Seattle, Wash. One sister, Miss Lois L. Jones, 5 grandchildren. She was a member of the Indianola Presbyterian church. Friends may view the remains at J.I.Hughes Co.parlors after 12 o'clock Saturday until the time of the service which will be held on Sunday at 3 P.M. ----------------------------------------------------------------
