The widow, Catherine Michael Bennett probably went from Lawrenceburg, Ind. North with the Michael family after her husband died in 1833 and met up with the Modlin's in Henry Co. as the Modlins were there in 1828 and were there till 1841. Her daughter,Hannah, married Elwood Modlin in 1837 at Cadiz, Henry Co, Ind. They moved to Kokomo, Howard Co. Ind. in 1845. By 1858 they were in Iowa where son, Issac Newton Modlin married at Peoria, Polk Co.,Iowa in 1866. His sister Margaret married in Jasper Co. Iowa in 1868. In April 1873 the Modlins moved to Kansas .
