Designate Land Claim 816 Linn Co, Or. 15 Sept, 1850. ( the main part of Harrisburg is on what was his claim )) Someone who knew him said that he did not speek good English and could talk real rough with the boys but when ladies were around he cleaned his language up. Some of his ancestors were long winded and he seems to have taken this up. He was a native of Knox Co., Tenn. In 1875 Forgey went to Curry Co. on the Pistol River and engaged in stock raising. Later he went to Lake Co. and while there died. Upon leaving Harrisburg he sold his property to Dr. Davis.
