According to Chester Moulder notes she was the second cousin of Jane Warren , the first wife. ----------------------------------------------------------------- -According to Ruth Hoover, Wharton Rector Bartons granddaughter, she was a first cousin of the first wife, Jane Warren, and that their mothers were sisters by the name of Gillespie. Her maiden name was Rooker and she was the widow of a Mr. Lockridge. Wharton R. Barton moved onto her farm southeast of Laclede, which I assume is the same farm where they are buried. Ruth Hoover says she died 2 July 1896. I copied the gravestone date as 1897 but the stone was soft and probably the granddaughter knew best.
