Nebr in 1881 and resided there for a number of years when he went to Kearney Nebraska in 1890 and married Ida Mae Talbott. He died in 1917 at Portsmouth, Ohio, and was buried in the Blair,Nebraska Cemetery.Dustin Willard Gustin says in a letter that Alpheus was born in 1856. ( Gustine Compendium ) We found obituaries ect. proving that the birth date was 1852. There was no grave stone so Shirley and I had one made and put at the head of his grave. To find grave go to North East corner of plot 66 which is straight north from the main entrance to the cemetery boundary and then one section to the left. From this north east corner of section 66, his stone is in the second row back and about the 4 th stone to the south. ----------------------------------------------------------------- In THE KEARNEY HUB- Sat. “ A.M.Gustin, a former resident for many years, of Blair and Washington Co, died in Tekamah Jan 25 and the remains were brought to Blair where he was married in 1890 to Ida May Talbott who died two years ago. Two sons, Ellsworth, married residing near Tekamah son Orin, single and a step daughter , Mrs L.D.Springer residing in Tekamah, besides three brothers, Samuel J. Living near Blair, Phillip at Orchard and Ellsworth at Tekamah, survive him.” The notice is wrong as Alpheus died at Portsmouth, Ohio, and the body brought back to Blair for burial and I believe that it was his brother Charles who still
lived in Tekamah. Charles E.Gustin may have been Charles Ellsworth Gustin..
