He married a Hannah who was born about 1656 They had seven children John abt 1678, Edmund abt 1680, Hannah abt 1681, Samuel abt 1683, Mary 5 Dec 1686, Sarah 25 Nov 1688 and Jacob abt 1690

On 1 Feb 1656/57 he was baptized along with his sisters Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth at the church in Chelmsford, MA. He was 3 years of age.

On 30 Nov 1675 he was among a number of men impressed into military services during the King Philip’s War and served in the garison at Hadley, MA. in Capt. Turner’s Co. in 1676. He was probably the John Chamberlain, aged 24, who witnesses the will of his brother-in-laws Thomas Wheeler ( Husband of his sister Elizabeth ) on 23 Oct 1678. In 1681 he was one of the men of Maiden who were recorded as having “carted wood “ for the minister. He was a feeman at Malden,MA on 22 March 1689/90

He was a tenant farmer from 1696 to 1721.
