When Hutchins Storrs died his sons Experience, Benjamin and Samuel were appointed to settle the estate but most of the work fell to Experience.

Inscription on the grave of Huckins Storrs in the Old Mansfield Cemetery
"In the memory of Mr. Huckens Storrs who on ye 18 th day of August 1784 departed this life in ye 79 year of his age: leaving behind him well grounded hopes for is refraction to eternal life, his Surviving Posterity may here recollect ye anxious concerns of e tender Parent for there eternal Welfare. As a Husband Kind, As a Parent tender and Compassionate, as a Friend Sincere, in whatever Station or Character. In life, whether as a Senator or in his Private Capacity, he exhibited the character of faith."
