Married Martha Burgess 31 Ot 1700 . Their children were Samuel, John, Huckins, Joseph, Martha, Elizabeth and Mary. He was one of the original persons in Mansfield and was prominent. He died fairly young and left three minor children as his wife died a year later.. Details of the legal arrangements are listed on pages 85 to 103 of THE STORRS FAMILY by Charles Storrs.Also from the same source the inscription on his tombstone. " here lies the body of Mister Samuel Storrs late husband of Mistress Martha Storrs who died August ye
9 th 1727 aged 49 years." Samuel Storrs Jr. was one of the original proprietors of Mansfield, Conn. and a member of the first church....He lived, as his father and his brother,Thomas, in the south parish the earliest settled part of town. He was a capable, competent man. His comparative early death followed by that of his wife a year later left his children orphans while three of them yet minors. His wills are written on page 85 through 93 of THE STORRS FAMILY by THE STORRS FAMILY BY CHARLES STORRS
