The Huff family came from Germany about 1826. His father, Henry, cleared a fine farm at Standing Stone. He married Susan Hankinson. Joel was their third child. Date from Cemetery records ----------------------------------------------------------------- I visited the Standing Stone Cemetery and could not find his grave. The older part of the cemetery has records showing who is buried there but the location of the grave is not listed and one cannot read the stones. -----------------------------------------------------------------
