Called Dill or Dialem. Died in the home of her son, Joseph. Dates on stones verified by my reading grave stones at the Harris Cemetery. Her husband was the brother of Hannah Michael.

Thomas R. Cooper said “ his grandmother, Delemma Michael grew flax and cotton in the yard. She put the flax on a board or ground and with a wooden corn knife whipped the flak Then with a hackle. whipped it and pulled it across a board. then she used a spinning wheel to make thread for linen handkerchiefs and tablecloths. She had a carding machine for the cotton and after getting it into balls, would spin it. After the sheep were sheared she would card the wool into long rolls and spin it. There were no stoves and the women cooked over open fireplaces. the diet was limited to corn bread, hominy, pork and beans and coffee.
