The book GEORGE BOONE by Dorothy Spears Campbell says his birth date was 24 July 1690 This same book says that he and brother Squire and sister Sarah came to America a few years in advance their parents and other children. He arrived in America in 1713. He settled in Abington, Philadelphia Co. ( Berks ) and was appointed to take charge of the records of the Friends Society, He stayed in Abington probably teaching school till 1720 when he went to Oley. He and his wife were active in the Friends Society and were probably instrumental in forming the new order called Oley Meeting. In 1736 they deeded one acre for a meeting house and burying ground.
