From GEORGE BOONE by Dorothy Spears Campbell. She was the daughter of Wm. Howell.He was one of the most outstanding men in Pennsylvania. He was a provincial councilor in Wales and came to America in 1632, He founded Harverford Town and Meeting and was one of the earliest Magistrates to the King and Surveyor to the Penns. The below is taken from THE FRIEND Vol 32, 185859 Page 403 " Deborah Boone was a daughter of William and Mary Howell of Haverford, Chester Co, Pa. and was born there 8 mo 23 day 1691. Her parents were valuable FRIENDS and were favored to seethe fruit of their religious cnocern for their child's everlasting good - some years after her marriage, a dispensation of the ministry of the gospel was committed to her. She was often led in her ministry to speek of the mercies and goodness of the Heavenly Father to her. Her appearences in the ministry were short and she seldom spoke yet they were attended with life and received with love. At the first meeting of the FRIENDS in the neighborhood of Exeter, she hand her husband removed there with their family She was at times after this engaged with others in visiting families of FRIENDS in which she was remakedly favored. She was of generous disposition and charitable to the poor"
