This is a copy of her obituary which was in what looks like THE CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE. The obituary was written by C.A.Bowles and saved by Ruth Davis. " Weatherly, Mo. March 13, 1913. She was the daughter of W.R.Barton and Jane Warren Barton, the youngest of six children. Those who survive her are Hon. Edward Barton, Mrs E. R. Wilcox of Linneus and Mrs A.M. Beswick, of Liberty, Mo.She leaves three half brothers, W.R., Elias and Alfonzo, and two half sisters, Mrs Henry McCoy and Mrs Etta Foreman. The deceased had been three times married and leaves a son, Mr. Geo Brawner, of Louisiana, Mo. who was with her to the end. Her last marriage was to Rev. J.S. Rooker with whom she lived a happy union till death. Mrs Rooker was a devout Christian from childhood and when paralysis rendered her almost helpless for several months before the end came, her faith was never more bright nor could she have been more patient and kind. She has gone to be with Christ. The funeral was conducted by the writer at Linneus, Mo. where she was buried." ----------------------------------------------------------------- She had a daughter by Dr. Gibson- she was named Clarke 1864-1875.
