Misc. Notes
Dates from tombstone. Pages 162-163 and 67 Cady Saga (my Copy ) Farm was section 28 Spring Prarie, Wisc. In 1870 census he was 49 at Spring Prarie. My grandfather,Thomas Cady was 17 in his household and listed as a laborer. He went up there from Missouri to go to school, it is thought. Of course, he had lived near this half cousin family when the family came back from Oregon. William Lincoln was in Spring Prarie 1846-1867. He owned Sec 28 - 130 Acres and Sect 34 - 40 Acres. I have notes saying that he was born in N.Y. State after his parents left Madison Co. Ohio and Dr. Lee Cady says that he was born in Madison Co, Ohio, April 5, 182l. 1870 Census says that he was born in Ohio. My great aunt, Amanda Cady Webley, remembered him as having a cheese factory and that Elizabeth Hoyt worked in it. He took cheese to market and returned with maple sugar for the children--------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- FROM - HISTORY OF WALWORTH CO. Wisc.
