!Married Bethany Fuller. Other sources give different birth date. Information from the SHANNON GENEALOGY Index 2 Pg 568 LDS Mesa Library under SH 1.Settled 4 miles from Lebanon, Ohio in 1798. They had 5 sons and two daughters. Detailed information on him and his family on pages 236 - 238 in the Gustin Compendium.He came down the Ohio River to Jarett's Station, six miles above where Cincinnati now stands and settled north of there in the wilderness. He came as one of the first settlers when the country first opened up. His nephew, Amos, our line came at the same time but from Kentucky or West Virginia and settled in Adams County. Jeramiah was first from New Jersey and then he and Bethany came from Penn. The Gustin Compendium gives the following cemeteries used by the family. Jeremiah and Bethany Gustin-Old Kirby Cemetery near Lebanon, Ohio Benejah, son of Jeramiah and Bethany, and Eleanor Burton Gustin buried in Kirby Graveyard about 2 1/2 miles from Red Lion. Samuel, son of Benejah, and wife, Elizabeth, buried in the Kirby Grave yard. Samuel, son of Samuel, buried children in the Red Lion Cemetery. Samuel.2 nd son of Jeramiah and Bethany Gustin, and wife Pamela Morris are buried in the Todd Graveyard one mile from Red Lion. Mary,daughter of Benejah Gustin married Jacon Trowbridge and she and son Madison Trawbridge are buried in the Todd Cemetery. Robert P. Gustin, son of Benejah Gustin and wife Ann Walters Gustin are buried in the Red Lion Cemetery. Jeremiah Gustin, Son on Jeremiah and Bethany Jeremiah Gustin buried in the Kirby Cemetery.Sarah Gustin, daughter of Jeremiah and Bethany Gustin buried in Kirby Cemetery.Mary Gustin,daughter of Jeremiah and Bethany Gustin,buried in Kirby Cemetery.Mary Gustin Diltz,daughter of Benajah Gustin buried in Kirby Cemetery.Rebecca, wife of George M. Gustin,buried in Todd Cemetery.Lydia Gustin,wife of Benajah Gustin ( Elkanah) Old family record found in museum in Lebanon, Ohio, says that Jeremiah is born Aug. 6 th 1740.Also says death was 31 Aug 1823. ---------------------------------------------------------------- From A STORY OF RED LIONS, OHIO In 1798 Jeremiah Gustin and family, natives of New Jersey, located on a tract of land east of Red Lion, cutting their way through brush and timber for a wagon road to the spot where they built their first cabin. Their nearest neighbor was Abner Crane two miles away. In 1818 he built a brick home to replace the log one and lived their till his death.

Jeremiah settled four miles west of Lebanon in 1798. He had 5 sons and 2 daughters, all of whom settled in the neighborhood.
