Married 10 Dec 1932. Uncle John Stevens was a very likable man and a great Uncle. In latter years he and Ruth, his wife, would visit us for weeks every winter in Gilbert, Az, and we enjoyed their company very much. John was born on March 6, 1904, and grew up on this father's ranch He married Ruth Minge on Dec 10, 1932 in Limon, Colorado He moved to Ault in 1936 and worked for the Great Western Sugar until his retirement in 1967. He died April 18, 1975. He was a member of the First Luthern Church at Ault and active in the Odd Fellow's Lodge and the Rebekah Lodge and served on the Town Board. Their Children are Peggy ( Mrs Gerald Haywood ) Dick, Jack and Terrel. Uncle John was a great story teller as so proud of his work at the sugar factory. He loved to hunt and fish and tell stories. He was a great uncle and Shirley and I were proud to have them as guests for weeks each winter in their latter years.
