From Garnet Robinson Isaminger- My father entered the army sometime in 1862-63 from Ohio. Afterwards he studied law and became successful in law and real estate. Father died very suddenly of a kidney ailment from which he had suffered for years - age 62 at time of death

Mr Isaminger studied the ministry in the Methodist Episcopal Church and was graduated from Ohio University, After leaving college he taught school for some time, and in 1859 he was admitted to the ministry at Columbus, receiving an appointment in Orange Co. He was stationed at Racine when he was appointed chaplain of the One Hundred and Seventy third Ohio Volunteer Infantry, serving in this capacity until the close on the contest. He continued in the traveling connection until 1870, when in consequence of his health he resigned and began the practice of law. He moved to Butler Co. in that year, and now reides in Hamilton where he is a practicing lawyer and real estate agent.
