He was Captain of a Campaign in Killingly, Conn. and marched with it to the relief of Boston at the Lexington Alarm in April 1775. He was promoted to Major Jan 1777 and to the rank of Leut. Col. May 1782 of the 11 th Regt. Conn. Militia. He was at West Chester Sept 14, 1776, with his troops. He died at Glouchester, R.I. and buried at the cemetery at Putman.
