Henry Carlton Cady came to Minn. from Middlebury, t. in 1865 and located n Utica Township, Winona Co. In the fall of 1866 he purchased land in Section 30. Warren Twp. and moved into the old cabin that stood on the place.. This shanty and an old granary were the only buildings standing on the property. In 1885 the old cabin burned. Then a frame house was built. Henry died suddenly at his home in 1903 after being ill only one hour.
