Apparently unmarried in 1790, he was living in Jaffrey, NH, heading a family of 2-0-2, which probably included his parents. He was still in Jaffrey in 1820 and died there aged 80 years. Not found in any of the censuses from 1800 to 1830. He left a will in which he left legacies to his nephews David and Hackalian Chamberlain; heirs of his deceased sister May Gould: Brothers John and Phineas Chamberlain and sister Anna Winter and niece Olive daughter of Phineas.
