From THE BOONE FAMILY by Hazel Atterbury Spraker. He was the fifth and youngest child of Squire Jr and Jane VanCleve Boone. He was born on a Tuesday at about 10 in the afternoon ??? in a cane break at Fort Boonesborough, Ky. His mother claimed that he was the first male child born there. He was brought up on the dangerous fronteer and was in many battles and sieges. He was the only child taken when his parents moved to Florida in 1790. When his parents went back to Berks Co, Penn. he went back to Kentucky in 1792
