From 150 YEARS IN THE HILLS AND DALES Vol-1 Pg 215. James olds served in the Revolutionary war and was a minute man at the time of the Lexington Alarm . He had five boys in the Revolutionary war. ----------------------------------------------------------------- From a typed page found in the Hillsdale Library. Patriotism was outstanding in this family and it is not surprising to find James Ould and his five sons all enrolled as soldiers in the Revolutionary War ----------------------------------------------------------------- From THE OLDS FAMILY by Edson B. Olds He was a farmer and lived in North Ashford, Windham Co. Conn,. in 1750. He married first Elizabeth ??? ( born 1724 died 4 Aug. 1753. He then married Sarah Kingsley at Ashfork. In 1770 he was one of the subscribers to the pews in the Congregational Church at Ashford and marched on the Lexington alarm in 1775
