From THE GLASGOW WEEKLY JOURNAL Oswald S Barton 19 June 1879 Graduated from Pritchett Institue , 25 Sept1879 Elected officer in Good Templers Lodge,20 April 1882 Attended speaking at Central College, 25 May 1992 he was a member of Pritchett Institue Nine., 5 Aug 1882, will attend Washington University in St Louis. 19 April 1883 Played on P.S.I.Baseball team, 5 July 1883 appointed Justice of Peace,8 Nov 1883 in merry nutting party, 25 Dec 1884 ushered at Williams/League wedding., 30April 1885 in temperance drama given by W.C.T.U. .7 May 1885 On Y.M.C.A. visiting committee,10 Sept 1885 to 21 Oct 1886 advertized as Attorney at Law., 10 Sept.1885 winner at Marshall fair,19 Aug1886 paid by Board of Alderman..21 Aug 1886 attendant at Neville/Rector wedding,23 Dec.1886 With S.C.Major defended Maupin in murder trial., 19 July 1888 the next prosecuting attorney.
