From THE NEW ENGLAND HISTORICAL AND GENEALOGICAL REGISTER VOL, 1-50 Richard Church was born in 1608 and came to Boston in1630, freeman in 1632 and was a millwright and carpenter. Was in Wessagusset, Plymouth in 1630, Eel River, Eastham, Hingham and Dedham. At the latter place he dies 27 Dec. 1668. He was a sergeant in the Peqout War One of their children was a Col. Benjamin Church. He was a fighter and was born in Plymouth in1639 He died in Little Compton where there is a monument in his memory. He was a fighter in the King Philp;s War.He was with the distinguished hero, Col. Benjamin Cook, of the Indian wars
