Also that he died 23 Nov. 1695. ----------------------------------------------------------------- From THE FAITH OF THE PILGRIMS by Robert M. Bartlett Deacon John Cooke, son of Francis of the Mayflower company, who married one of Richard Warren's daughters, turned Baptist. This caused a stir ond a flurry of discussion. He moved to Dartmouth, where he was followed by some of the Howlands from Duxbury, and became a lay preacher. It was not long before the Baptists were accepted as freeman.
