He was a methodist mnister From the RYAN GENEALOGY He joined the Methodist Church Aug 13, 1813 Converted Aug 26, 1817 Received a license to preach in 1826. Traveled the Randolph circuit 3/4 th of the year and in 1833-34 traveled the whole comference year. He moved to Union Co. Ohio in 1836. He wrote there “ for the last 3 years I have suffered great pain of body, but God gives me grace for sufferig times. May he stil sustain me to the end and then take me to rest, amen”.
