HE WAS A SOLDIER IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR - CHECK AGE. From GUSTIN COMPENDIUM by Weaver.
He was named after his grandfather. he was a land owner in Warm Springs Run, Berkeley Co. living near Rev Alpheus He sold land to Alpheus Gustin Jr.. He appears in Harrison Co. Va. in 1810 census with wife and 8 children. He settled in the Juniata Valley, Pa. soon after the Revolutionary War.

He was taxed in Lack Twp. Cumberland Co, Pa. in 1779 he had 50 acres of land , one horse and one cow,,. In 1780 he had 50 acres of land and two horses. In 1781 he had one horse, in 1782 2 horses.
He was living in Rye Twp Cumberland Co. Pa. He settled in Lost Creek Valley, Janita Co. Pa.
When living in Ohio in 1820 he had 2 slaves.
