Marries a Ms FREELOVE WHITMAN Other source says that he was born 12 Dec 1724.The Gustin Compendium says he was born 13 Dec, 1724. Pg 159 Mesa LSA Library G97.He was killed on the way to Canada by Indians. After his parents died he lived with his uncle Benajah who was a cripple and was in Revolutionary war. They lived Burlington, Bradford Co. Pa. ----------------------------------------------------------------- From PIONEER AND PATRIOT FAMILIES OF BRADFORD CO. PA.1770-1825 by Heverly This could be the right Gustin as the area ect. are the same. The note was as follows. At Burlington, Sunday Aug 4, by justice David Soper, Eliphalet Hustion, bordering on 70 years of age and miss Sally Mills, age 16, after a courtship of a full half hour. Both of Burlington Township.

He settled in Sussex Co. NJ prior to 1763 from whence he and his wife about the year 1777 during the Revolutionary War, they in company of their neighbors started overland to Canada with the avowed purpose of permanently locating there. That they never reached their destination is known and it is supposed that the entire party was massacred by Indians who at that time infested portions of the intervening region and all of whom were allies of Great Britain throughout the Revolutionary War
