----------------------------------------------------------------- From The Gustin Compendium by Gustine Weaver John Brom was a Scotchman according to old records.He lived in Watertown and Cambridge. He moved to Marlboro, Mass. He sold his farm there about the time that Elizabeth Brown married John Gustin and went to Falmouth with them. From there, due to the destruction of the town by the Indians he went to Watertown His will was dated 20 Nov. 1697------------------------------------------------------------ From the Gustin Gang- John Brown was born in England in 1631 and came to this country and settled in Cambridge, Mass. In 1662 he moved to Morlboro, Mass. In 1678 he moved to Falmouth, Mass ( Now Portland, Maine ) . in company with the Augustines but at the second destruction of the town he was driven away and moved to Watertown, Mass. He married Esther Makepeace of Boston 24 April 1655. they had 11 children. ----------------------------------------------------------------- From New England Families by William Richard Cutter John the son of John Brown born in 1631 in England and as an infant was brought to this country. He settled at Cambridge, Mass, thence moved to Mariboro same colony. In 1678 he sold his farm and moved to Falmouth, Maine, then part of Mass. he was forced out of Falmouth during the King Philip's WarThence he removed to Watertown, Mass, where he died in 1698 His will being dated 20 Nov. 1697, He married Esther Makepeace of Boston 24 April, 1655.
