Bently Dec. 25. 1868 by Carlos Boardman, Presiding Justice of the County Court, recorded Book 2A page 223 Linn County Recorder's office. He was underage, 19 years and 24 days, but managed to get his guardianship transferred from W.A. Balcolm to Alcaster Bently his father-in-law, 21 Aug. 1869. Probate record book Ruth Davis remember him as a person who bought a lot of supplies and when she used to visit with her mother he would go up in the attic and cut her materials for a dress. _________________________________________________________
