Obituary- Oakley M. Stevens, 89 Oakley M. Stevens, 89, well known Standing Stone Township farmer died early Sunday morning, November 9, 1980, at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda. He was born Sept. 9, 1891 in Standing Stone Township, the son of William and Judith Keene Stevens. Mr. Stevens was a lifelong resident and farmer of Standing Stone Township, retiring from active participation in farming in 1975. Surviving are a son, Donald M of Wysox RD 2, a grandson, Larry W. of Rome RD 2, a granddaughter Donna of Wysox RD 2, a great granddaughter, Rhonda of Rome RD 2, a sister, Eleanor G. of Towanda and a nephew, Martin of Lakeland, Florida. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 O'clock at the Maryott Funeral Home, 217 York Ave, Towanda with the Rev. Harry Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at the Standing Stone Cemetery. Friends may call at the Maryott Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 9 PM. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Standing Stone United Methodist Church.
