Married and went West. Was married twice. The following from notes of Lillian Storrs and Theresa Hemet Patterson. A Colorado pioneer, lived 30 miles from Denver. March 1954 record. Lewis Stevens in fall 1895 entertained cousins Theresa Hemet ( Patterson 0 and her brother Irvine Hemet and Phoebe Stevens.On March 29, 19954 Phoebe ( Age 90 ) recalled their three day buggy ride to the Garden of The Gods. Charles M. Hemet of was using ( Age 86 ) visited Lewis in June 1894 and his son Lewis who probably was 25-30 years old at the time. The son and his wife were living with the mother on a ranch near Salina, Col., where they had so many horses that they could not count them. C.M.Hemet left his suitcase at the railroad station and when drove him back to the station ( Several miles) the train was just pulling out. Lewis had hay for his horses in the wagon and drove on to Denver. C.M.Hemet waited for the next train to go to San Francisco to the Columbia Exposition.
