Thomas Storrs Jr. of Mansfield, Conn. second son of Thomas Storrs Sr. of the same place second son of Samuel Storrs of Sutton-cum Lound, Nottingtonhamshie England, Barnstable Ma. and Mansfield Conn. was born 16 Jan 1716/17. He married 27 Feb 1743 Eunice, Daughter of Robert Paddock of Mansfield, Conn. He spent his life in Mansfield and died there 14 May 1802. He was a farmer and a man of medium height. Mrs Eunice Paddock Storrs died 2 May, 1795. They had eight children. Storrs, Page 192-193 About Dartmouth College. In 1778 Captain Aaron Storrs and others in Hanover, N.H. purchased a township named Middlesex in New York State . Many of the men lived in Mansfield, Conn. and the earliest meetings were held in Mansfield. They also made gifts to a new Dartmouth College. Among them were Aaron Storrs 200 Acres, Major Joseph Storrs 110 Acres, Huckins Storrs 100 acres, Hustkin Storrs Jr. 100 acres, Nathaniel Storrs 50 acres, Captain Samuel Storrs 50 acres, Thomas Storrs 20 acres and Amariah Storrs 20 acres. Storrs Agriculture College, nearby, was also funded by the Storrs family.
