Called Hattie. Dates from grave marker. She never married and stayed at the family home all her life. She taught school all her life and was a talented painter. I have a picture over our fireplace that she painted in 1899. When we visited there she did not have much to say and in later years she had early senility and did not know us when we visited . She was very pleasant and tolerated us strangers.
