We met Georgia Bankhead Hudson in Tucson where she was living in a retirement home. This was in 2000. She said that Herron just lived from gleanings from his parents and her. He just was financially dependant. When he died she did not even come to Phoenix but had him cremated and buried by his parents.
Georgia was a nurse and held several important positions in different hospitals, ending her career teaching nursing at the University of Az. at Tucson
Shirley and I tried to see her in 2001 but missed her as she was not at home.
