FROM THE SKINNER KINSMAN His first wife, Mary, died in 1671 and was the mother of his children. Immigrated 1649/51 from Chichester , He sold land and house to Thomas Call and when he died he married his widow, Lydia( Call ) Pratt and again owned the property. He, in 1651, applied and received a license to run an in the town of Malden. He was granted a liquor license at the establishment in 1653 and became the first dispenser of liquor in the city of Malden. He must have retired soon from the business because the town fathers in 1657 said that they were in deserate need of an orinarie Keeper. In March 1678/9 he was one of the of those signing as be interested in settling Quansigamug but there is no proof that he ever lived there. In March 1678/9 he was in Malden and was appointed Tithingman. In 1678 he was appointed constable. He also served in 1679/80 In 1695 Thomas Skinner, then an old man owned 7 acres which he gave to his son, Abraham, for future maintenance to his son Abraham
