After the death of Joseph Barton Sr. the two boys, brothers of Elizabeth Barton Shewell, were wards of Robert Shewell. The Shewell family was a well known family of Bucks Co. The Bartons, Shewell amd Dungans were all well known family of Bucks Co. Pa. They were all Baptists and members of the Montgomery Baptist Church even though they lived in Bucks Co New Britian Twp. Eventually a Baptist Church was established in New Britian Twp. where most of the Bartons are probably buried.although there is no records of their burials,tombstones.
