He came to Mass. locating first in the Mass. Colony whence he moved to Scituate in the Plymouth Colony where he took the oath of fidelity in 1638. In 1638 he was put under bond for deflamation owing to his freely expressed views regarding the absence of infant baptism in the church. In 1644 he became a member of the South Scituate parish which held views similar to his own. He brobably was the son of Richard Willard's second wife.
