From THE OLDS FAMILY by Edson B. Olds. John was a priest, became a reformer and was disinheritrd, was a friend of Latimer and Cranmer. Full particulars of him will be found in the Royal Historical Societies' Tnansactions, Vol ii, Pg 198 ( 1592 ). He was ordained priest in 1540, was prebend of Herford and was presented to the vicorage of Cuddingham, Co. Warwick. by the Duchess of Somerset. He wrote as John Bayle and published many books among them " Acquittal of King Edward V1 ( Nov 7 1555 ) ( Strye's "Cranmer" ) Vol 1 pg 397. Memorials Ecclesiastical Vol 1 Pt. 2 pg 47 and Vol 2, Pt 2 Pg 273: Haig's list of books published in England prior to 1600 in the library of King's Inn, Dublin, 1858 pg 14. He was exiled during the reign of Queen Mary.
