From HISTORY OF BRADFORD CO. by Bradsby Joseph Roof was reared and educated in Franklin except for one term at the State Normal School at Mansfield, Tioga Co, Pa. and one term at teh Susquehanna Collegiate Institute in Towanda. Mr Roof ia a thrifty farmer and is successful in his enterprises. He has owned some very fine -blooded horses, he lives on a farm of 106 acres and has a peach orchard of 500 trees.
