In the Mass. Society on Mayflower Descendants Thomas Delano was called a Doctor but no other materials verify this. His will was made 5 Oct. 1722 ----------------------------------------------------------------- From Plymouth Colony Records- Pg. 168 1667 Oct 30 Thomas Delanoy, for having carnal coppulation with his now wife before marriage, fined the sume of 10 pounds. ----------------------------------------------------------------- He and his wife had nine children. ----------------------------------------------------------------- from the Duxbury Book 1637 - 1987 Another early Duxbury physician was Dr. Thomas Delano, son of Philip de la Noye, who had come over on the Fortune in1621. Dr. Delano built a small house on the Bay Path ( now High street ) far from the shore of West Duxbury, where he lived with his wife, Rebecca, daughter of John and Pricilla Alden. from the above book is a picture of his home with the print in Dr. Thomas Delanos son of settler Philip Delano, went far from his father's farm near the Aldens when he built along the old Bay Path in 1667. His will is in this material. He was a Physician, Tailor, Surveyor and Constable. He was elected constable in 1691, in 1676 he and John Rogers Jr. were appointed to survey public highways.
