Peter Crandall, son of Elder John married Mary ---- and was of Westerly. He resided on the Pawcatuck river on the old road leading towards Potter Hill where he had a mill the first and only one then in town. Crandall's mill was a kind of boundry or standpoint for years and is frequently mentioned in deeds and other legal documents. he was a deputy in 1699-1700-1701-04.
