Was a carpenter became a freeman in 1652.His will mentioned wife, Sarah and children Henry, Isaac, John, Daniel and Abrigail and left 65 pounds. he often bought and sold land. Son John, b 1661 Married Sarah Parks 4 Aug 1686 he died 1733 and she died 1727 Son James born 4 Feb 1690 married Elizabeth Bond 2 April 1714 she died 12 Jan 1716 leaving a son Jonathan. Then he married Mary Fiske 10 oct 1716 and they had three children. James Born 1627 became a freeman 1652 Married Elizabeth Warren and they had two children. Mary married Thomas Smith of Watertown.Judith Married Nicholas Cady and they had 8 children. Ann maried Thomas Philbrick. Elizabeth married a Mr Buttery 24 June 1662 She was a widow and inharited 1/8 of her father's estate worth 12 pounds. She never left England. The below is from Watertown Records The 21 of December 1683 pg 17.the felectmen meting at Corparall Willingtuns agreed with John Knop to be the fecton for the yeare and to paphorme all things nefifaer to that imployment. Refearing to the meting houfe and the towne to alow him four ponds 10 shillings in Reate pay amd the other hallfe in the next reat and this is to be an agrement if the towne at the publick meting confents vnto it. Pg 21. John Knop cumming to the felect men to reqyeft an ould tre for firing he being in nefefity at prefent. The felect men granted him alittell whit oake againft the widdow Barnats felld ftanding cloofe by the path vppon a knowle againft the ftille leding vnto John Whitneyes Crof y feld. Page 29 Than John Knop fenyer shall be sexturn for this yeare and shall haue for his salary fower pounds teb shillings in pay. Page 36 John Knop to be fexton as he ufeth to be and to be allowed fouer pounds a year and ten shillings all to be payd in all refpects as he ufed to be. John Knop is to take his pay at the price he ufeth to doe for being fexton. The selectmen haue ordered John Knop to mend the top of the meting hous and pay him for his payns and care. ---------------------------------------------------------------- From Watertown records by the Historical Society. AND SARAH AND SEVERAL OTHER AS CHILDREN NEITHER WERE MENTIONED IN HIS WILL OF 22 JAM. 1696, PROBABLY WERE DEAD, AND ONLY HIS WIFE, SARAH AND CHILDREN, HENRY,ISAAC, JOHN, DANIEL, AND ABIGAIL. WERE MENTIONED. They had 8 children
