From BOONE FAMILIES IN DAVIE CO.N.C. Hannah Boone married John Stewart. Nothing is known of his life in Davie Co. In December 1769 he disappeared on a hunt in Kentucky.Some five years later a skeleton, believed to have been his, was found in a tree fork. A rifle and powder horn with his initials carved on it were found nearby. Hannah Boone Stewart continued to live in N.C. and later married Richard Pennington. They moved to Kentucky probably in 1779
