She was Alpheus Gustin's step-daughter. Her second husband was Oscar Grothe, Saumuel Jefferson Gustin’s Grandchild. We visited Clara Belle and Oscar Grothe on a farm near Blair, Nebraska, in 1959. We were there only a short few hours but they were a real friendly older couple. Oscar is buried by his first wife in the Blair Cemetery just behind the office. Clara is buried alone towards the middle of the cemetery ----------------------------------------------------------------- The 1911 census shows that she was born in 1887. ----------------------------------------------------------------- She must have been married in 1910 as she was not living at home and was not counted in the 1910 census with the Gustin family.
