The villiage of Le Tocq is in St. Owens parish on the western coast of France. The Jeans and LeRosiqnols were families of great antiquity on the island and both followers of the sea. One of the LeRosignols traded with Arcadia in North America as early as 1604. The homestead at St Owens was sold by their son, Augustine Jean in 1677 to John Brock of Reading, Ma.
