From memory, I believe that he was the builder of the Universalist Church at Standing Stone, Penna. From notes taken in Penn.-Wm Kingsley built the Universalist Church at Standing Stone in 1858. It cost $ 1200 to build. There is a plaque in the Church saying "IN MEMORIUM- AZA STEVENS- BORN AT PLAINFIELD, CONN. 1778 A FIRST SETTLER AT WILKESBARRE- LIEUT. OF VOLUNTEERS-SLAIN IN WYOMING MASSACRE JULY 3, 1778-ERECTED BY HIS DESCENDANTS †The chair behind the podium was given by Will Storrs wife-Inscribed IN MEMORY OF ANGELINE STEVENS 1811-1886. The Will. Storrs's wife was Ellen Stevens Storrs.
