Married Lois Southworth, born,9 Nov 1743 on 4 Feb 1770. Her father was Nathaniel Southworth.He married Lois, the daughter of Nathaniel Southworth of Mansfield. He inherited his father's farm and from time to time added adjoining pieces of land building in 1800 a new house all of Oak in which his descendants now live. He was in the Revolutionary war, but after returning home he spent his life as a farmer he also had a small sawmill. He was so strict in his religious ideas that his children were not allowed to go out of doors on Sunday.
